How to Wear Sweetheart Dresses in the Cold

You jump out of bed in the morning and twirl over to your closet. It feels like a perfect day…to wear a dress!

Sweetheart dresses are one of my favorite types of dresses; the girly cut is ever-endearing! Sometimes, it feels like too much to wear a dress if you’re just going through the ordinary processes of the day. I am sharing one of my favorite ways to dress down a sweetheart dress; it is easy to add warmth while preserving the flirtiness and fun of these dresses! I love to add a slouchy, oversized cardigan. For additional warmth, add a sheer pair of tights. Finally, slip on your favorite boots! The short length of the dress paired with high-rise boots will extend your legs for miles.

Sometimes, I think I don’t give enough attention to perfume. Scent adds a huge element to the appearance and aura of any person; I am still in the process of finding a scent that expresses me perfectly! One interesting method was introduced to me by Pinrose recently. They administer a special quiz to determine scents that suit you, based on your visual, sensual, and musical tastes. You can then try out a variety of suggested scents by ordering one of their petal packs. If you find one you love, they also sell the traditional perfume bottle sizes for you to use day- to day, for dates, or for travel! I decided to recreate three of my favorite Pinrose scents by giving a visual representation of the characters that I think each scent represents.

Tips to any DIY Costume (on a budget!)

We’ve arrived at the end of a week of high spirits!

I had to pull together a variety of costumes in the past few days, and I compiled a few pieces of advice amidst the process of dressing up. Since I love DIY and putting things together on my own, costumes are fun to come up with-no matter how busy or broke I might be! I see it as a chance to buy new things for my closet, not as a command to spend money on a prepackaged costume that I’ll only wear for the dress-up occasion.
