Soonhari X Seoul Salon Los Angeles

I did a mini trip to Los Angeles last weekend! I got to see some friends, and also attend an event from one of my favorite alcohol brands- Soonhari! Soonhari is a Korean alcohol beverage brand with the same green glass bottle packaging characteristic of the famous Soju…except that Soonhari is fruit-flavored. They hosted an event at Seoul Salon LA, a restaurant and bar located in Ktown. It was so much fun to revisit Ktown (I used to frequent Ktown during my UCLA days for yummy food, PC bang, and nights out with friends.) The weather was just beginning to show hints of spring and warm Los Angeles vibes, I got to see a lot of familiar faces at the event, and totally got lost in these delicious cocktails!

New York is a Vibe 💙 a spontaneous trip and haircut…

It’s been a few months since I’ve moved out of New York due to COVID-19. I went for a spontaneous trip to the city after a work trip to the East Coast.
I went on a spontaneous solo trip. I took in the good Manhattan weather, bought an interesting book, and caught up with some loved ones. This *adventurous* vlog through the city of New York leads to a spontaneous haircut-more than a year’s worth of hair chopped! This is the shortest my hair has been since the first grade. 🙂 Next week I’m posting an LA vlog which will be full of interesting things- half work, half play.

Tsujita Killer Noodle Opening in Sawtelle

I went with Brian the other day to the media opening of Tsujita Killer Noodles in Sawtelle. We tried two types of Dan Dan noodle, one with soup and one without. We got levels two and three which ended up being very spicy- normally I don’t expect Japanese food to be too spicy but at this restaurant they are definitely not kidding about the “killer” spice levels!

The Dan Dan noodles were delicious and immediately threw me back to past summers in Shanghai. Shanghai has the best noodles and I am a huge noodle lover 🙂 Here’s an old post of street food pictures that I took in Shanghai if you want to make yourself hungry.

How to: Throw an Adorable Brunch

Me and my best friends have thrown two successful brunches given a very short time notice and limited budget, so yes, we are officially qualified brunch-throwers. The most recent brunch that we threw was a girly, all-pink brunch for our best friend’s eighteenth birthday! We also got her a gift basket, and scrapbook along with this brunch. Anyway, with our new self-award “brunch queen” certificates, I present a how-to post on throwing a cute brunch!
