My younger sister Bridgette’s birthday is this Wednesday! 🙂
She celebrated with a birthday party a few weeks ago with her middle school friends, and I took some pictures of the event to share. Tiffany came over to help as well, and we gave the girls manicures and baked cupcakes for them to decorate!
We made a batch of twelve cupcakes on the day of her party, and then we made another batch the following morning. (And a bunch of tiny ones!)
You can see the tiny cupcakes in the last picture. I decorate eight and put them in a box for my boyfriend. He loved them! (It’s also a great idea for Valentines day.)
I wonder why we never tried out the cupcake decorating idea at any previous parties. It’s actually extremely simple and gives great results.
Just lay out some blank cupcakes, offer different colors of icing and frosting, and an assortment of sprinkles, and just watch everyone go crazy. You can get soo creative with this stuff. I was kind of on a tight budget, but next time I’m definitely buying some colorful candy and fruit to use as decorations too!
The results were so much better than expected!!! I might actually have a shot at being a decent cook haha. I’ve been thinking of experimenting in the kitchen lately…. hmm…
I’ve been really bad with posting lately, but I have a lot of posts that I’m planning to get up soon. Thanks for reading, and feel free to comment with any questions or input! 🙂
