With the coming of the new school year is a flurry of schoolwork, friends, and the readiness to enjoy my last year of high school in Palo Alto. Even with all the California sunshine and excitement that comes with the senior year of high school, I find myself sometimes daydreaming of my summer adventures in a city on the other side of the world- Shanghai.
With this lingering attachment in mind, I decided to dedicate this month of blogging to the wonderful city of Shanghai, which I’ve always considered my true “home.” I only spent a short two weeks there this summer, which was barely enough time to catch up with friends and family, go on a weekend trip with my cousins, and get all my shopping and modeling in. This left me with no time to blog about my adventures!
With this, I introduce “Shanghai September”, my theme for this month.
I will be posting some photos from my shoots there, recreations of Shanghainese street fashions, and various food photos and selfies during my adventures. I will also be sharing some of the traditions I engage in every time I visit- including visits to special cafes, great places to shop, cultural books to read, and unique things to do and foods to try in the city dubbed “Pearl of the Orient.”
