Sometimes, I think I don’t give enough attention to perfume. Scent adds a huge element to the appearance and aura of any person; I am still in the process of finding a scent that expresses me perfectly! One interesting method was introduced to me by Pinrose recently. They administer a special quiz to determine scents that suit you, based on your visual, sensual, and musical tastes. You can then try out a variety of suggested scents by ordering one of their petal packs. If you find one you love, they also sell the traditional perfume bottle sizes for you to use day- to day, for dates, or for travel! I decided to recreate three of my favorite Pinrose scents by giving a visual representation of the characters that I think each scent represents.

The rain beats mercilessly on the windows of the car as you drive out to run an errand. You look around, seeing the gray haze that the sky has become, the cement roads slippery with rain, and the blurred headlights of the cars driving around you. I hate these moments. In these moments, I miss the California sun and wonder where it’s hiding; in these moments I question my desires to study in rainier states. But I can never stop the rain, so I go with it and I try to embrace it. Wearing this black felt beret adds a quiet edge and mystery to my outfit; with this new persona matching the moody weather, I can skim over puddles feeling more at home.

l’amour d’une femme…always believe in the “love of a woman.” I believe that a woman’s love is one of the strongest forces out there! Many might think of the phrase “femme fatale” when they see the word “femme”. I think of the “female love” : Shakespeare and Rostand balcony scenes, red lipstick curved into a mysterious smile, the scent of roses, and the passionate playing of pianos and violins. Call me romantic, call me traditional, call me strange… but that is the first thing I think of when I think of a woman’s love.I really enjoyed this shoot with Ryan Chua in the beautiful city of San Francisco! I always have a blast when I go to there- whether it is for a fun night out with friends, photoshoots, or a shop-till-you-drop Saturday.

This downtown is one of the highlights of my city! I just love Palo Alto’s University Avenue… it has countless amazing cafes and restaurants! Recently, I discovered the La Boulange of Palo Alto, which has a beautiful glass terrace; sitting here causes me to lose my sense of geography, it really gives one the feeling of being in a quaint gazebo in France!
