my friends and I rented a mansion in palm springs for spring break, crammed all of each other into cars and had a blast of a weekend (check the vlog xoxo)

but (for ally at least), no sunny, lazy haze vacation comes without some sudden contemplation and perhaps a little confusion

when it comes to travel// i tend to like to trek:

sprawling cities

historical landmarks

developing areas (don’t ask me why)

anything busy and bustling (ny, shanghai….)

welcome now to a weekend of the total opposite- lounging by the pool, taco prep kits, and handfuls of denim, white, and blue stripes. there is nothing to remind you of worries as you day sip on jungle juice under the subtle shade of socal’s infamous palm trees. oh, and your friends are so lit. life is good bruh.

let’s just say I had a little bit of a mental crisis some point this trip. upon flushing the toilet, I looked around to see mint green bathroom walls and white wicker- how vacation-y. walked out into my room, and looked out the window to see my friends lying in pool toys downstairs in the yard. and then suddenly, this sense of displacement just struck me…
