The summer days are quickly coming to an end- so make sure that all your bright summer pieces are given the spotlight while the sunshine’s out. I put together a video with three simple but sweet outfits I’ve worn to work in these past few weeks. I also added some of my illustrations. Go brew yourself a nice cup of tea while you watch this workwear inspiration.
…Sweet Bouquets and Silk Camisoles
For one of my first weekends in New York, I was delighted to be invited to BLTop‘s launching brunch event for their unique silk camisole. They created a functional and comfortable camisole inspired by the working woman. It was a fun Saturday morning, and I met a lot of inspiring and fashionable ladies at the event. My favorite part (the watermelon salad being a very close second!) was the fantastic DIY bouquet set-up by Branches in Bloom. Taking home this lovely bouquet of pastel flowers and leaves gave me a smile in the morning everyday for the rest of my week.
You can see the full breakdown of this event, as well as some of the other things I’ve been up to recently in my vlog.
Until next time!
cards from Shanghai
as much as I’d love to write more about Shanghai, and share of the wonderful photos from that summer…I’m sad to say that my phone was stolen from me at a club a few months later and so I lost all but a couple of photos.
I wanted to share a few little memories: the parting cards I wrote to my logistics team at DB Schenker on the last day of my internship (learn more in this video), a lovely tea at the JW Marriott in Shanghai with my ADORABLE baby cousin who is generally antisocial but happily sitting on my lap. (she is ignoring the kind lady who was trying to play with her…that ball of adorable-cuteness)
and a rainy shot on the summer street
now I must go before I start mourning the loss of those photos again

Innisfree Launch Party in Santa Monica
I had the absolute pleasure of attending Innisfree’s Santa Monica store launch party in May. Innisfree is my favorite Korean skincare brand because of their innovative ingredients sourced from Jeju Island. I have normal but sensitive skin, and I’ve never had any adverse reaction to any of their products (and I’ve tried many over the years….)
So, now that they’ve opened their very first West Coast store at Los Angele’s very own Third Street Promenade, I won’t need to stock up piles when I’m in Asia. Some of my favorite from Innisfree are their Green Tea seed serum, hair masks, and their large range of sheet masks.
We had a blast looking eating green tea macarons and swatching products.
