When I first visited UCLA, I was stunned by how pretty it was and I was so excited to start attending. However, what also struck me was the size of the campus- I was already envisioning how much walking I would have to do. Layering is so crucial during the school days! You might be cold at the beginning of your walk and sweating by the time you get to your class. The hills on our campus are not a joke. They are a force to be reckoned with.
At the beginning of the quarter, I would wear around a super simple white t-shirt pretty often. (The softer the cotton the better!) You can easily make an acceptable outfit out of a white shirt, leggings, and sneakers, which have been a new addition and important addition to my wardrobe. If you need to walk around a lot, sneakers are your best friend. And recently, I’ve started carrying backpacks more because they’re less fuss when you’re trying to get somewhere in a rush. I’m the type of person who is always late, and drastically so, but in the past few years I’ve been trying really hard to have a sense of time and get to places on time. I think it just comes off as disrespectful if you’re constantly walking into the room late, and it’s one of my bad habits I try to improve. If any of you guys struggle with this problem, let me know in the comments below!
