Dress Promgirl/ Shoes Steve Madden
I just visited Los Angeles last weekend, and I’ve been so busy with my job these past couple of weeks. My boyfriend has been sending me and picking me up from the airport nonstop lately! I’m hoping everything clears out soon and I have some more room to just sit still and take in the world around me. I really want more me-time to just create content and sit at a cafe and doodle and write in my journal! These days it feels like I’ve just been running on little pick-me-ups here and there, like spending short, hurried bursts of time with people, endless cups coffee, and treating myself to the occasional pastry (sugar rush anyone?)
I wanted to share this crisp white dress that Promgirl sent me a while back. Right after these photos, I went shopping with my boyfriend and sister. He will drag me to the mall just so he can get these flavored potato wedges at a mall stand that he loves. Isn’t that so childish? xD
All the hiatus and bustle in my life recently has made me strangely appreciative. It reminds me of how much I love to take on challenges and push myself, even if it involves squeezing time out of tiny cracks. I’m always torn between losing myself in the quick pace of the present and trying to live life slowly and with consciousness of the forming of memories. I have spent most of my life trying to preserve my memories in one way or another, but sometimes times get so busy that I have to reluctantly let things go by at their own pace, without my documentation or attempts at bottling them.
