Recently, I’ve been trying to explore my city more. Palo Alto is right in the middle of Silicon Valley, is home of Stanford University, and is headquarter and an incubator of many companies such as Tesla, Google, Hewlett Packard. I am always complaining about living in the suburbs, but honestly there are so many aspects of Palo Alto that I have yet to discover! Even just visiting and being in Stanford campus makes me feel like I’ve entered a completely new world and atmosphere. I can’t believe I just forget that I’m living right next to one of the best universities in the world!
I have been feeling pretty terrible lately. Sometimes I’ll be driving and a sad love song will come on, and my mind goes completely blank for a second. It’s like I can physically feel emptiness, and I get scared when I wonder just how long I’ll stay sad. However, I’ve been trying my hardest to appreciate the little fun things in life, like going to pilate classes with best friends, getting a nice cup of coffee in a beautiful campus like Stanford’s, and always trying to find reasons to force myself to smile. There are so many beautiful things around us, and it’s a shame that we sometimes are too caught up in work or bad moods to enjoy them. Sad things happen, but life goes on and scars will heal.
On a brighter note, here is the colorful outfit that I wore today! I love the bow belt, I bought it years ago when it was trending in the streets of Tokyo! It adds such an adorable and fun touch to any ensemble.
