Dress Forever 21/ Wallet Coach/ Flannel UO

Recently, I’ve been trying to explore my city more. Palo Alto is right in the middle of Silicon Valley, is home of Stanford University, and is headquarter and an incubator of many companies such as Tesla, Google, Hewlett Packard. I am always complaining about living in the suburbs, but honestly there are so many aspects of Palo Alto that I have yet to discover! Even just visiting and being in Stanford campus makes me feel like I’ve entered a completely new world and atmosphere. I can’t believe I just forget that I’m living right next to one of the best universities in the world!

Dress Bordeaux/ Lipgloss YSL / Watch Skagen

I managed to get a lip gloss stain on this dress my first time wearing it…how typical!

Well, this outfit is pretty representative of my outlook on life right now. I will try…minimally, but I really unable to throw too much energy into anything right now. I think a surefire way of sensing my mood is based on how much I smile, because I’m normally always smiling. I do hit certain points where it just feels like I have to make an extra effort to twist my lips into a grin (something that usually feels so comfortable and habitual.) Everything feels a bit bleak right now, but I’m hoping things will turn around soon. Until then, I’ll keep trying…. minimally…

I’ve been on the lookout for more geometric shirts and dresses. I love the thick material of this dress and the crisp lines. Its not very obvious in the photos, but the cut by the shoulders has small black leather detailing, which I think totally completes the dress.

In the sweltering heat, all I want to do is wear simple and loose clothing pieces. When its warm, I love to wear lighter colors and play around with carefree prints. Instead of going with a patterned or neutral crop top, I decided to meet the styles in the middle by choosing a white t-shirt with simple but adorable text. This way, there is still contrast, but nothing that will overpower the outfit. …

Dress TBDress/ Bag Fossil/ Shoes Steve Madden

Happy birthday to my lovely mother! I wore this dress out to her birthday dinner in the beautiful downtown Palo Alto. I make multiple trips here every week but I definitely never get tired of it. The weather was so warm and perfect that I didn’t even need to wear a jacket with this light dress! (Thanks to TBDress for sending this!)

I paired some simple accessories with this, to put more emphasis on the pretty print of the dress. The flowers remind me of something that Georgia O’Keeffe would paint. In fact, I am pretty sure the flowers on this dress are poppies, and she painted vivid oriental and red poppies. I love how the bright coral is placed on a simple-cut white dress. It makes it super wearable and an instantly put together outfit.
