Stanley Wu and I headed out to a spot on the UCLA campus to shoot this outfit that I had in mind. I love this blue and white patterned skirt, which I bought in an underground subway station in Seoul, Korea last summer. It’s like a spin-off of checkers. It was super cheap and I wore it all the time over there with crop tops. In the states, I’ve been wearing it less, especially recently with the colder weather. (Once spring and summer kick around again, it won’t be the same story!) For this look, I paired it with a gray cashmere sweater. If you’re trying to pair a sweater with a skirt, I would always tuck it in (unless it’s a short or cropped sweater) so you can see more of the skirt. It gives the outfit more structure.

When I first visited UCLA, I was stunned by how pretty it was and I was so excited to start attending. However, what also struck me was the size of the campus- I was already envisioning how much walking I would have to do. Layering is so crucial during the school days! You might be cold at the beginning of your walk and sweating by the time you get to your class. The hills on our campus are not a joke. They are a force to be reckoned with.
…Denim Days with Tobi
Dress- Tobi // Watch- Kate Spade
Happy Sunday everyone!
I’m back in the Bay Area for winter break. It’s colder than I remembered. I find myself missing the sun, but then I really shouldn’t be complaining because the weather is still mild compared to lots of other places I’m sure. These days I’ve been pretty busy and haven’t been hanging out much, but my friend is coming down from Irvine to visit near the end of break, which should be a blast! These photos are modeling Tobi’s Jeima Shift Dress which they kindly sent to me as part of their new collection a while back.
I love to wear dresses because I like flowy and girly pieces. Depending on the dress, there is also a good amount of versatility in terms of warmth- throw on a pair of tights and a shirt or jackets and bring a bit of good ol’ summer back into your day! I wore this one with a casual denim shirt that I bought in Shanghai a few summers ago.
Have a great day everyone! My hair is still brown in these photos, but I have photos coming on the way with my new black hair so definitely stay tuned for those. <3
UCLA Campus Shoots- my first finals are over!

“I think I like you…I think I’m going to like you….” -Urban Zakapa// This is how the song I’m listening to begins…
With finals week of my first quarter in college over, I feel a familiar weight lifted! For now, we are free. I’ve stopped thinking about love for the time being, but little instances come and go that leave me happy and feeling like I could be in love again someday soon. It’s a nice feeling; hopeful, at least. 🙂 This is an outfit I wore often in Asia (minus the hat!) and I wanted to share with all of you guys. Very simple, very easy, and cute with anything from black boots with crew socks to sneakers!
Happy Monday readers <3
