Visited the city recently and met up with Ryan Chua and it was v. fun! V. fun v. fun. By city, I’m referring to San Francisco, home of the ice cream houses and rolling hill-streets. I actually used to live in San Francisco. Back when I was much younger, I used to feel really strong nostalgia when seeing certain parts of San Francisco that I must have subconsciously recognized from my early childhood. Most of that is gone now though, I’ve gone so often through my high schools years to adventure with friends and embark on photoshoots as well. I never considered San Francisco and other parts of the Bay area as very familiar until I left to Los Angeles for school, and now when I visit the first thought that comes to mind is “home! I’m home.” Interesting.
I mean I honestly feel like I will for the eternity of my life consider Shanghai as my true home, but I can love San Francisco just the same. If you haven’t gone, please visit, but be prepared to hold your nose in some parts of the city, and be open to funky sights and stores and either avoid or appreciate the abundance of tourist traps. You will be rewarded with a true experience though. SF is one of a kind.
This is actually my mom’s cardigan but I literally take it and wear it around ALL the time. I love the texture of the neckline, it’s a fabulous soft furry black fluff and it goes surprisingly well with a lot of textures. You can dress it down easily with a basic shirt underneath, but I always borrow it if I’m going out with a dress or something fancy underneath. For this outfit, I’m wearing it with a gold sequined top that Tobi sent me for part of their spring collection in 2015.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post. <3
