This birthday is a landmark. I imagine most people reminisce on their 18th birthday pretty heavily, and I’ll happily look back on mine because it was spectacular. I want to thank Ryan Chua for taking these amazing photos to commemorate my birthday. I also want to thank him for always making my day funnier with his statuses, being an amazing mentor and friend, and just a hilarious and fun person in general.
After a weekend full of amazing times with friends and endless presents and love, I’m doing some quiet reflection on my own at the end. From my very conception (which I hear was stressful and almost disastrous), through all my years of innocence, to my slow but steady maturing of heart and mind, I feel truly blessed with the gift of human life. My low points seem bearable in retrospect, and my high points seem absolutely euphoric. I’m eighteen, with eighteen short years behind me and the preparation for the next decade to absolutely fly by as well.
